Morning erections are technically nighttime erections which happen during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep (when most dreaming occurs), although men older than sixty years may have them during even non-REM sleep. A lot of men have these third legs when they wake up because they dream. even if they can't remember the dream, they still have them. also hormones have a lot to do with it. I think your friend needs to stop being embarrassed to ask a simple question like this.

because the same nerve that controls a hard on controls the bladder , so when lads wake up the body confuses the need to pee with the need to poke ! this is totally true & we would'nt hav it any other way !

Could be a dream, or just from sleeping next to someone that he's attracted to. Or the last answer (above mine) could probably be it too.

Often its just because of the simple friction created by matress, sheets, and body weight. Other times, they could have been interruped from a non-lucid (you don't remember it at all) wet-dream.

It happens, it just shows that the piping is still working good. I call it the "Harley Davidson effect", waking up on your side.

they get a ***** because it has to do with something like when they hold their pee in overnight i think it just becomes erect.. look that up online... im almost positive that's why
