Call around to all of your local pet stores and ask them if they carry Merrick Products, if they do purchase their product called "Grammy's Pot Pie", it is available in both canned and dry food. Try it, your dog may love it, mine does. This product is made from Human Grade Ingredients, it has no fillers. Try it, your dog may love it as much as mine does. Good Luck.

Papillons are notorious for being picky eaters. My own Paps require a lot of pesuarsion before they would even sniff their food. And one show dog I know is more picky about her food than my own Paps. Don't get frustrated with the behavior. First of all, make sure there is water available at all times. Second if she is beginning to show signs of fatigue or anything like that buy some nutri-cal. it is a energy supplement that you can find at any petstore. It will make sure that she doesn't suffer from low-sugar levels, which some Papillons are prone to when they don't eat their food. Now as to the type of dog food to buy I personally buy Royal Canin Health and Beauty. But any dog food that doesn't contain any filler items such as corn, corn meal, or meat-by-products are fine. My Paps seems to like the Royal Canin b/c the smaller bits is easier to chew on. How I got my Paps to eat their food is mixing the dog food with boiled chicken and carrots. The chicken has protein that is good for their coat and the carrots is a good for their bowel movements. And if she stills turns her head away from it just take it away and don't give her anything till the next day and continue on until she eats the food you give her. Just remember to watch her closely if she begins to show signs of low-blood-sugar levels. Give her some nutri-cal and if that doesn't help her, a vet visit might be in order. Good Luck!

Changing a dog's food abruptly can upset her tummy. Pick one food and only give that. Stop all treats until she is eating the dog food. She is holding out for the treats.
Dog's won't eat if they are upset. When a dog comes into rescue, I don't expect him to eat for a day or two. Then they start to eat just a little. Over a few days they will work up to a normal amount of food.

Okay here is a suggestion I feel confident your dog will like. Get her some Royal Canin for "baby dog" because it is a very small kibble and it is fine as long as she is not overweight. Also buy some Pet Botanics "Lamb Log" and grate a few tablespoons into the food and mix. She should go nuts over this. Both are available at PetSmart stores.
