Porterhouse is a great steak. Looking at it ,the left side is actually a piece of filet mignon. I always select mine with the largest piece of filet. Leave it out of the fridg long enough to bring it to room temperature. Depending on the thickness no more than six minutes per side (that would be a thick cut). No marinade, just salt & pepper. After grilling, let it rest for a few minutes so you won't lose the juices when slicing.
A wonderful side dish is some sauteed mushrooms........

Just grill it up without any seasonings if you wish and when you serve, have either Worcestershire Sauce or A1 Steak Sauce to put on the steak if you like that instead of the same old BBQ stuff.

McCormicks has a nice seasoning called Steak Dust and another one called Grill Masters (I think). Otherwise a delicious marinade of your choice like an italian or greek dressing, soak that bad boy overnight and throw it on the grill! Yum!
Marinading it for 30 minutes is fine too.......

First, let your steak sit out for about 15 minutes to get it to room temp. Sprinkle coarse kosher or sea salt on both sides and some cracked pepper. Grill for about 3-4 min per side.
