I have a case of severe dry and chapped lips. I have tried everything from lip balm to lip ointments found in stores. Anyone has a solution that might help my lips. My lips get dry every 2 days and sometimes get painful. Home remedies anyone?

My lips get very dry in the winter...(gas heat wrecks havoc)...Vaseline Lip Therapy always works for me. If my lips get dry and cracked I keep that on them all the time and it heals them in no time and helps them feel much better during the healing process. I don't know if you've tried that...you say you've tried everything. If so, I don't know what else to suggest other than just making sure you keep something on your lips to keep them moist at all times to prevent drying and further cracking. I feel your pain! Good luck!!

I use something called Chap Ice- it's like Blistex and comes in little round tubs, and it's medicated. They sell it at Walgreens and CVS and I've also seen it at Dollar tree. It's like a lip balm, but you smooth it on with your finger. Works good and the price is right, especially at the dollar store.

Try caking vaseline on before you go to bed at night. Seems to help mine out a lot.
