Yes. Statistics show that early admission gives an advantage to wealthier individuals who have already had all the best advantages in life. Minorities and economically disadvantaged students often miss out on early admissions because they have to wait to see what kind of aid packages might be available to them in order to make an intelligent decision. With the majority of the students being selected to the best schools during early admission, this means that those who are already at a disadvantage end up having a lower probability of being accepted into the college or university of their choice.
Luckily, criticisms of early admission policies have recently begun to come to light. As a result, Harvard University is the first college to have eliminated early admission. Their website explains to parents and would-be students that students who apply early will no longer have an advantage over those who apply at the regular time. This is a step in the right direction. Now if only the rest of the universities and colleges in the U.S. would follow suit.

Why?
It makes life easier for those who really want to attend the school. The rejection or acceptance comes earlier and earlier with each early admission attempted and that is the goal.
What is the basis for your question?

No- it's a great way to get all the stress in your senior year done early. Plus, if you get rejected, you have some time to figure out what you want to do, and maybe find a college that you love even more.

There is no easy answer here. I would say my take, though, is that it should end. It gives an advantage to people who already have an advantage and leaves out the people who could really benefit.
