It's part of my Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, & it's very disturbing, & I have unwanted thoughts, & medicine doesn't help. People think I enjoy lingering onto the past & being miserable, which is not so. I want to be happy.

you are the only one ultimately that controls what you choose to think about. When intrusive thoughts pop up, you need to control them and stop them, it helps me to be actively engaged in a task or pleasurable activity when my OCD rears it's ugly head, if I am not busy, I get busy. When repetitive thoughts come on, I will literally say out loud, stop it. And I do my best to live in the present. There are lots of meds out there that can and do help, but you have to take them for six to 8 weeks before you will notice improvement, and they do only help, they don't fix the problem, only you can do that.

You are your own worst enemy" ---with all due respect to you.
Listen to your question: "Why is it hard for me to let go'? If you believe it is hard then it will be!! What the mind believes the mind conceives, and what the mind conceives the mind achieves. You have achieved a level of a weak mind
Get strong. everyone has problems. when life throws you lemons make lemonade. When the going gets tough the tough get going! you don't need medicine..... that will make you believe you need it--you don't!
Be brave and be strong case only the Strong survive and you want to survive don't you? Good luck

It's o.k. Has some traumatic incident happened to you. If not, it may be caused by stress. I use to get unwanted, racing thoughts myself. Many people don't need medication. You simple have to feel that their is nothing wrong with you. If you feel that you are a sick person, if that's the attitude you have about yourself, then you will make yourself sick. In reality, there is nothing wrong with you. You just need a change in your life. People have the ability to become better and change their attitudes abot certain things.

You might need to see a psychiatrist. I kind of have this same problem, I don't take meds for it and I have to see a psychiatrist once a month for it. It helps believe it or not. At first it was weird, somewhat awkward, but it was easier to talk to her with time.

Be happy. Quit moaning and groaning about imagined mind problems. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. What crap. Psycho babble. Get a life, get off of the computer and grow up.

You just need rough sex with a white guy to occupy your thoughts for awhile. Hope you feel better.
