Not all wounds-----------I have had a very happy life, with love and family, and friends. But, I still often think of the love I lost because I could not marry the great love of my life. If I had I would have had to give up my children, as I couldn't move them half way around the world, to a third world country. That was a very long time ago, and I still miss him.

Both of these statements are true..everyone, sooner or later, will get hurt and wounded. And, for the most part, time heals a great deal of those hurts and wounds..but there are some wounds that do not go away..only through God's peace and understanding and grace can these types of wounds be heale...so sometimes, it takes more than just time..it takes God and His precious healing power.

Yeah, portia, John leneon was a musical genius, not a nerd,
He was quite weird though, but show me an artist from that decade that wasn't.
Some wonds time heals very well, but most, time will rip them open.
Like a first heartache, time will heal.
But if I was a mother, and my children never talked to me, time would make that wound worse.

I wonder if John felt that both were appropriate because both are true! Time does help to heal wounds and karma does catch heels up!
The first relates most to me because it is important to let go of the past in order to move forward - if we carry vengence or hate for our adversaries then we live in the past and will not move forward.
To be truely free and able to become co creators of our lives we have to learn to forgive!

The reality is that ime, whilst not neccessarily healing, allows one to come to terms with wounds, hurts, disappontments, etc and HELPS ONE TO ADJUST. That may not be complete healing but John Lennon was being rather cynical.
It IS possible to come to terms with whatever the past has thrown at you.

I would be more apt to agree with the first saying, "Time heals all wounds". I would add that for those wounds that time doesn't completely heal, it makes them at least more bearable. And by the grace of God, one day, all wounds WILL be completely healed!

Time does heal all wounds. I've been through things and I know this to be true. But the emotional and physical scars remain.

Second one I guess. Time does not heal all wounds, there are some that can not heal and time only ever dulls the hurt.

That saying "Time wounds all heels" is as old as the hills.
Over 50 years ago that was in "Mad Magazine". I am so sick of Hero Worship. If a person can sing and write songs, he/she is called a genius. If a person can throw a basketball through a hoop, he is called a genius. If a line backer can knock to sap out of a Quarterback he is called brilliant.
Now, for people who worship other people. It's not their fault. They or we or really our ancestors, when we were created by God, actually re-created, he implanted a quick fix mutation that gave every human a reference point "W' gene. Now, whether
we like it or not,
we will find someone or something to worship.
Why not worship God? Well, at least love him.
