I'm having my liver and something else tested to see if I can go on a certain medication. Is it possible for them to find out if I've done any drugs from the test if that's not what they're looking for?

If it is yor liver they are after, they may not do a lot of different tests for odd stuff, They are probably looking for a baseline to compare your next test to. Do yourself a favor, quit the bad stuff if you will be taking something that can affect your liver. Make it easier on you & your doc...

Whether the test is done by blood or urine it is only possible to detect drug use if that is specified when the test is ordered so do not worry no one will find out but perhaps this is a reminder that drug use is not such a good idea and bear in mind that recreational drugs interfere with many prescription drugs so you may need to tell your physician anyway.

It is possible, but they would have to do extra tests to determine that. Extra cost would have to be expended, so I doubt they will look just for the heck of it.
