I had the same problem once. It's been several years since we broke up (NOT over his looks, I found out he was doing drugs!) but I miss his charming personality! No that I look back, I realize those ppl who say that to you are just being so rude! Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You see the beauty with in him...tell those rude ppl to mind their own business that he treats you right and that is what really matters. If you find that your asking this question because you are embarassed that your with an ugly man then you need to ask yourself if you can go the rest of your life knowing your with an "ugly" person on the outside...you didn't clarify what your embarassed about. I was embarassed these ppl would come up to me sometimes in front of him and say it. Looking back, if he hadn't been a drug user, I probably would have married him! My family and friends would have SCREAMED no way...but he made me and my kids happy. He was a lot of fun...we miss him.

tell them to stop judging ppl for the way they look
eventually out figure is a gift
no one designes the way they look
and yea if ya love him more than anything ya wouldnt have said he's ugly when u love some one u neglect all their defects

How can you get over caring about what other people think. Simple grow the hell up! If you claim to love this person why are you so concerned about his outter shell? It's what's on the inside that matters. Have you ever stopped to think those that are telling you he's ugly maybe seeing how wonderful he is to you and would like him themselves? Best advise grow up! Better you don't get over other's opinions. You ask him to leave you and explain why. Tell him he's to good for you and he deserves better. Tell him you're a complete jackass and you don't deserve him because you care more about outsiders than your relationship.

You can grow up and realize that looks isn't everything. Personality and character are much more important, looks will fade as time goes by anyway, so you better hope there's more there than looks. If you love him, why do you care what people think? What makes them or you think that someone who looks good is a great catch? I beg to differ hon, I've had a few of each and trust me the ones with the least looks usually have more to offer than the arrogant one who can't stay away from a mirror. If you're that embarrassed by his looks, I'd be willing to bet that you don't love him as you think you do or you'd be quick to let people know what it is that you do love about him.. Poor guy. Anyone who judges people by their looks are shallow enough that I'm glad not to know them.

youre life is your own who care what other say they are not you a good man are hard to find as long as he love you and respect you that all the matter look at the movie star both are good looking they have everything money can buy and they are not happy count your blessing its what inside that matter walk with your head high because youre got something a lot of people wish for that happyness

Explain why he is such a great guy and you find him very attractive (im assuming seeing as your with him) and they should mind there own buisness and respect your reasoning for being with him. Just because they think he's not good enough looking for you doesn't mean he's not. It's all about your opinion. If you really are embarrassed by the way he looks then you don't deserve him.

You love Him more than anything, that means that He has a beautiful loving kindness, and that is more important than having a gorgeous boyfriend who is abusive and cheats. Listen to Your heart. Ask Yourself, would You ever ask Someone what They have asked You.....No. You are with the Person You want to be with, and that makes You happy. That is all that is important. Let Them know that what They are saying is hurtful, and not appreciated, and that You would never think about hurting Them, or anyone else, with such words. Then just be happy.

Get over caring about what people think by STOP CARING for them!!!you love him, right...then there is no two opinions to that and I strongly believe, love has more dimensions than caring about physical appearances!!Opposites attract and if there is chemistry between the two of you....just enjoy yourself and don't bother about others.
