Read what it says as to how many times it willl rewrite.
I believe its 7 times will delete the information, and if Im not mistaken military standard is 22 times

But either way, only way to recover any information after its been rewritten is to try using very advanced recovery methods.
Ask yourself this -- who would try using that on your hard drive.

Id say your software will be good enough

There are various tactics you're able to do it, yet once you p.c. the innovations to be wiped thoroughly then persist with this technique. a million. Use dban (Darik's Boot and Nuke). What this might do is wipe the aggravatingcontinual with a random sequence of 0s and 1s. 2. purchase a torx screwdriver equipment to open your annoyingcontinual. 3. skill down the computing device thoroughly and unplug it and then eliminate the aggravatingcontinual. 4. Unscrew the metallic platters and eliminate them. 5. Sand the exterior of each platter thoroughly on the two sides. 6. Rinse the platters 7. wreck the platters with a hammer. 8. (non-compulsory) Take a blowtorch to the platters only to be risk-free. 9. (additionally non-compulsory) lease a degaussing wand and use that on the aggravatingcontinual platters.

The key to securely wipping your data is overwrite the data multiple times with a random pattern --

I am not familiar with Evidence Eliminator, I have used Window Washer myself (http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/windowwasher/) and I know that it does follow the appropriate steps to permanently delete my data.

Evidence Eliminator says that "Secure deletion processes similar to US Government Military standards " but they do not elaborate on what is the exact process that they use.

Good luck.

My impression is that it does not erase stuff on your disk. It does remove all evidence of Internet activity, but I don't think it cleans your hard drive.

Not really. The only thing that will really wipe the hard drive(s) clean is to 'fdisk' and 're-format' them and change the space for each drive letter (C:, D:, etc.) so they are different than before.
