only if you discharge them in bankruptcy. but thats ok you will find out that there is no intrest incurring and in the USA they will report it as in good standing if you make an effort to pay I had a bill that took me 5 yrs to pay and it was never a neg on my report I simple paid them 5 to 10 a mnth no problem. just call them and ask. They usually stay on there for about 5 years, however if you pay the bill off and get your credit maintained you can have the company take the "bad credit report" off you record in about 3 years. And about the bankruptcy I would just for a bill. That is an easy way out but will always be on your report. and Loan officers see that.
