Sure it will. The more exposure he gets the more relaxed and comfortable he will be. Believe me, most of his aggression is due to fear and insecurity. When he learns to socialize he will be a much nicer and happier poochie. Just be patient and take it slow.

Yes, socializing a Chihuahua helps make it alot nicer. Chihuahuas seem to be a bit nippy if not socialized. They also sometimes bark at passing cars and people or other dogs constantly if they haven't been socialized. I have a chihuahua, and I think they are such a spectacular breed, and extremely unique. I hope this has helped you!

Of course it helps! See, chihuahuas are normally a one-person pet, unless you socialize it. Socializing helps because they are nervous. I certainly hope everyone can understand their nervousness, because they don't wanna be stepped on of course! This makes them afraid of most dogs and people. So letting it meet people as early as possible is absolutely neccasary.
P.S. If you have any children, I would not suggest getting a chihuahua.

I have a mini dachshund and he was barky and snappy at people but all I did was grab him by the nose look him in the eye with a bared teeth expression and said NO! and he hasnt done it since because thats the way an alpha female/male would do it in the pack to a pup who got out of hand.

Socializing any animal will help make it friendlier. Bring it places, and let people pet it, if it is a small puppy. If its a little bit older, let people pet it after it settles down seeing the person some. Good training is the key to how your animal behaves. a well trained and well socialized animal tends to be friendlier.

Yes, it does. Dogs get aggressive when they're scared or trying to prove their dominance. Training a dog of any variety that they are not in charge and that most people are friendly is a good way to teach it to relax among people and not bark or bite.

It always helps to get them used to people. I started with mine by taking them everywhere when they were puppies..I still do. This way, it's not such a "look at all the people" reaction. Mine never bark, but sometimes my little chihuahua is a little scared of people.
