Nice way to get sued.. More and more men are sueing back for the rings and the situation you just descibed would get them back the ring. Grow up and get a job if your looking ot make money.

Well, that wouldn't work. When an engagement is broken, the ring has to go back to the guy. It is not a gift in the regular sense of the word, but rather a symbol of the promise of marriage. If there will be no marriage, the guy gets the ring back. This has been proven over and over in court.

I was divorced and still have the rings. I tried to sell them to a goldsmith and they only wanted to give me $100 for the engagement ring and diamond wedding band. I then went to Craigslist to sell them to see if I could get a little bit more money for them and I have had a few bites, but no takers so far. My advice is screw the rings and find a nice man you WANT to spend the rest of your life with.

If you really intended to do that it would take you an awful long time to get at least one engagement ring, usually guys dont propose to you for at least a year and to be with someone that long just to get a ring at the end is really stupid. And he might just give you a tiny little cubic zirconia anyway, then you would feel like an idiot! I dont agree with it at all and I think this is just a wind-up question anyway.

Pinkaliou is right. If you do bad things, or think bad thoughts towards people, they will come back to you, some day. What goes around comes around, and it's called Karma.

You are a beautiful girl - on the outside. At least you are questioning this 'friend's advice. Work to be beautiful on the inside, too,in your heart.

Don't be mean and cheat people - go through your life with a clear conscience. xxx

Hmmm..... if you think about it... if it took you a year to get the ring... and if the ring was worth at resale 10,000 (which mean he needs to buy you a $15-20,000 ring) That would only add up to $29 a day.

You might as well just sleep with random guys for $30 a pop and you would make more money.

first that sounds really conceited..."many men in interested in me"...ugh I hate that about some women!

secondly....that is wrong to take their love and throw it down the drain like that! Just b/c the ring is a gift to you, doesn't give you the right to sell it...its a token of their love. I personally would give it back to them....love is not a toy to play with or to try and gain money...

why not just stand on the corner and make your money that way...its almost the same thing

Actually, if you accept a ring with no intention of marrying the man, its NOT yours to sell. The ring isn't yours in the eyes of the law until you actually marry the man that gave it to you.

Is this a serious question? Get a legitimate job!

Do not take your so called friends advice.

You would only make a bad name for yourself over time.

Best to choose the right man for you, probably one making lots of money, then you can be wealthy and honest, and keep a good reputation.

All the best, and good luck.
