I'm a paraplegic from the abdomen down. I'm currently on a foley catheter but my physician recommends switching to an external catheter. I know the foley would be cheaper in the long run, but I also know that the external catheter would be better in some ways too. if you have any experience with this, please give me some advice as to what I should do. thank you.

Wrong forum. But I had a buddy that had to use the condom catheters. There was a sizing process that he mentioned. It sounded silly but is a real part of it and then he was good to go. Literally. I don't know why you would want anyother kind if you have a choice. Condom style is on and off just like that.
