There's this golf gadget - it looks like a golf ball hanging from a small pole above a patch of fake grass.

When the golfer hits the ball, it spins round. The point is the golfer can practice his/her swing.

I need to know what it's called and where I can get one from.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

Hi, its called a golf swing trainer and it helps the golfer to get the right swing before he/she goes out onto the golf course or just helps to improve their swing if they are having problems with it. Any good golf shop or club should be able to sell you one or at least put you in the right direction of the nearest retailer who has them. Try places like JJB sport, Argos, any good sports shop or as I say a golf club pro shop.

Get an old swingball set. Take the tennis ball off and replace with a golf ball. Warn whoever you just gave it to that they'd better be good at running.
