During WWII, America gave Puerto Ricans American citizenship so that they could fight in the war. So all you need is a plane ticket, nothing else. They are American citizens.

For some extra information, you may wonder why they're not a state. Well, they're a territory. A major one. They keep voting on stateship, from what I heard, but want to become their own country so vote no. Weird..........

Puerto Rico is a a commwealth of the U.S. All Puerto Ricans are automatically U.S. citizens when born in PR.

No visa or passport necessary.

Um not sure how to tell you this, but you are an AMERICAN CITIZEN. there. if you live and are born in PR. it is territory of the USA and you have the same rights and liberties as all americans. even being drafted or called to war etc etc etc. yes, a plane ticket or boat ticket will suffice!

They are citizens and do not technically need a passport, but like all travelers they should have a picture ID to travel and a passport is the wisest way to go as it is universally accepted.

remember, Puerto Rico is a commonwealth territory of the U.S. So no documents are needed, other that some identification.
