also what would be my filing status: (married filing jointly/separately, head of household/family)?

I'd file Married with 3 exemptions.

The W4 form should walk you through the calculations. If you have a mortgage that is tax deductable you may want more.

Filing status - Married filing jointly
Exemptions - Depends on if you want to break even or get money back. Probably two or three exemptions.
