Because technically, it didn't even last that long. The war part is over, or so Bush said in May of 03, I believe. This is supposed to be the support/security/rebuilding part.

Could it be semantics? As in calling what is going on in Iraq now an official civil war or not...the results could be huge. The wording of a thing can have so much impact thanks to the legalese of our modern world. And remember, it was Rummy who made the erroneous remark about shooting down Flight 93.
Nah, he said it, no doubt. I can't defend or implicate him except to say that as humans, we all make mistakes and errors in judgment. I have made more than my share. :) And if we do not get more aggressive in this fight, I think we are making an error. But that's just my view, and I might be wrong......
