A lot of adult surgeries for amblyopia or strabismus stop working after a time. Is there a new surgical technique that permanently aligns the eyes? Is a prosthetic eye a good treatment option when 1) the lazy eye has extremely poor vision (legally blind) AND 2) the purpose in seeking treatment is purely cosmetic? Is there a cosmetic surgery that permanently aligns the eyes?

almost nothing produced surgically is permanent. Lazy eye is usually treated in childhood by wearing a patch over the unaffected eye. The problem arises from weak musculature controlling the eye and proper use corrects the problem. Suggest that there are exercises which even an adult can benefit from with determined and sustained use. See an opthalmologist for the latest treatement.

If Thom Yorke's eye is still lazy, then I'm gonna guess no. And if there is one, it's obviously not worth your time (because it's not worth Thom Yorke's time).
