Yes, you are thin...but thin doesn't mean in shape. Do some sit-ups. Okay, do a lot of sit-ups and other core strengthening exercises...and your belly will flatten out. Make sure you eat enough carbs to maintain your weight...you don't want to loose any, just straighten your muscles!

Bellies are genetic, and there isn't much some people can do about them. My boyfriend is very thin and can very run long distances very quickly, but he has quite an impressive round, middle-aged belly.

Exercise targeting the midsection (running, sit-ups, crunches etc.) can help. But I had a four-pack last year over a considerably-sized belly.. all depends on how you're built, and your diet as well.

There's a difference between being thin and being toned. Being toned involves having a lot of muscle and a low body fat ratio.

Don't worry too much about it. Most women don't ever get totally flat bellies without crazy amounts of exercise. There's always a little bit of fat stored on our bodies because we're female, and the female body is designed to keep fat on.

Yeah! it might just be the way your body was made. It could also be that you're too thin for your height and might seem to you that you have a belly. But don't believe/trust anyone on Answers to make a diagnosis. Talk to a doctor if you're concerned.

yes you are considered thin. But you probably don't have a high amount of muscle mass. To get rid of the belly, which is probably nonexistent anyways, then try doing sit ups and crunches.

You are defiently very thin. I doubt you have a beely at all. I am also 5ft3 and I weigh 111. Our BMI says if we go under 105 we are "underweight". You are younger and if your eating right then Its fine. Defiently dont diet but doing crunches wont hurt. Itll tone up that "big ol belly of yours". Itll be toned instead of just skin. But get it out of your head that your fat.

This has bothered me in the past, too.

I'm 5'0", ninteen and 101 pounds. I have a belly around my abdomen.

It's natural padding for a woman's belly. However, if it bothers you that greatly (I got over mine), you need to tone your body. Do abdominal work and try riding a bike often.

You are tiny.
Most women gain their weight in their stomach, which is why they have a kinda 'gut'.
Its pretty hard to get rid of too.
Tryin doing sit ups, crunches, and leg lift, before going to bed each night for a couple months.

That might help it.

Focus on being healthy, not thin. All muscles can be toned up.
