Oh Tonks are the BOMB!!! They are wonderful, wonderful cats! Fantastic breed - smart, loyal, friendly, affectionate. Anyway, you can get a "pet quality" kitten from a reputable breeder for $400-$600. You can often get a "retired" champion for free! This will be an older cat (3-5 years) that is no longer being bred that breeders look for a good home for. If you get a Tonkinese, please make sure you get one from a CFA registered litter. A responsible breeder will make you sign a contact that you will spay/neuter your cat. They will also not give you a kitten until it is around 12 weeks of age. Any breeder who gives you a younger kitten with no spay/neuter clause is NOT a reputable breeder and you should look elsewhere before you waste your money. Go to www.CFAinc.org and click on the breeder referral pages for a good breeder in your area. The best breeders will also not "ship" their babies. It's always best to get one locally if you can. Good luck. Tonks are a wonderful breed!

The price for these kittens and cats will depend on the type of markings and bloodlines.
Tonkinese sold as pets usually cost $350-500.

For the tonkinese breed you should expect to pay between £350-£400 and no more.

Of course I do not know where you are so prices can vary if you are out of England.

Good luck.

Linda
