Why would you pay all that money for a tuna steak and then bake it? You will dry it out...
If you are going to grill the vegetables, then grill the tuna.
Or heavily season it with salt/pepper then pan saute in a hot pan until a crust is formed then allow to rest until you get a nice medium to medium rare center.
In terms of sides...asparagus, corn, squash, grilled roma tomatoes would be nice.

I would say that something green or red would balance the color on the plate and make the meal look more appetizing. I immedieately thought of green beans, especially Italian style. Broccoli is also a good idea, especially with cheese sauce. If you want grilled veggies, however, go for grilled asparagus, grilled red and green bell peppers, stuffed tomatoes or bell peppers, or even grilled portabella mushrooms (although they taste excellent and are somewhat "fancy", the color will be bland).

Zucchini is great grilled . Maybe put it on a skewer and wrap in foil with a little butter. Put on grill . This would go great with tuna.

Grilled asparagus are very yummy. Also grilled fennel. Fennel is notoriously wonderful with fish in Italian cooking and is great grilled.
