Hello, about 10 weeks ago i had a severe sinus infection. And it seems like latly i have felt very bad because my stomach feels very full, i get tired and weak, and i get these warm/cold mint chills sometimes feels kinda numb, and my heart rate will seem to beat very hard or fast, then at times it gets slow it seems like. and i don't know if it is anxiety or what. Then at times its like i just can't be still because i am not comfortable. and i seem to get dizzy and unbalanced, but when i first wake up of a morning i seems to feel half way decent for like a hour, then when i get up and eat me something and start to getting out it seems like these spells hit me, does this sound like i might have some kind of heart disease or can sinus infection cause this? I also feel tight in my chest in these spells at times to. I am also 18 years old, so i don't think no one takes me serious about my problem.

Sounds like your inner ear was damaged and you could have this disability for life.

Most likely, it does sound like you are having panic attacks, but I am not a doctor. I used to get panic attacks, and I had the same symptoms. Most of my attacks were due to stress, however. I was drinking a lot at the time, and wasn't feeling happy with where my life was going. Do you do any drugs, or drink? How is your diet? Does heart disease run in your family? Ask yourself these questions, and consult with a doctor. Make the doctor take you seriously. If you are really concerned that it might be a heart condition, lie to the doctor and tell him that your mom/dad had aortic stenosis due to a congenital defect. The words "congenital defect" means that the heart has some kind of physical abnormality. Tell the doctor that you are concerned that you may have inherited the same abnormality. The doctor will probably want to do an ultrasound, or EKG. The ultrasound is great because it gives the doctor a 3D picture of your heart. The EKG is also a very effective test. Good luck!

You should go see your doctor. There are several types of fungi that can cause sub-acute pneumonias, which would explain some of your symptoms, but each is endemic to a certain area. It could be that the sinus infection is still present, and is getting worse. Do you have fevers? Night sweats? Nausea/vomiting? Does light cause you pain? Headache? Neck pain? Weight loss? Rash? Recent history of being bit by a dog or cat? Have you travelled recently? There are too many things for it to be to get a good idea here. Go see your doctor, especially since it could potentially be something serious. Tell your parents you don't feel well and would like a check-up.

How about printing this out and going to your doctor. Sounds like you have a sugar reaction. If your parents wont take you serious get yourself to a free clinic, school nurse, college nurse and take care of yourself.Sinus infection can lower your immune system and give your body a nudge if you are so inclined for some other illness. Since the "no one takes me serious" is anonymous it is hard to say more.

You might be only 18, but your symptoms could match up with a number of serious problems, including diabetes or heart problems. Have you tried talking to your parents or maybe your guidance counselor or a school nurse?

Good luck!

well, while it is unlikely, it is certainly possible that it is a heart problem,. but i think you are probalby experiencing anxiety brought on by stress that you aren't even aware that is stressful. does that make sense? things may be happening to cause the stress that you don't consider stressful and have no problem handling it, but it is obviously manifesting through your symptoms. while this is not as big a problem as heart problems, it can certainly lead to heart problems, take care of it in a healthy way. such as golf, or destressing techniques, or some other hobby
