THE SEAT BOLT is covered in paint and carpeting thats hard to take out without a scraper. I dont have a volt meter but will try an alternative grounding.

Did you ever try what Sparky suggested the last time you posted this question? You never did say if you had checked the remote turn on wire.

Just because the remote was completely intact to the headunit doesnt mean that it would provide power at start up then go dead. I would highly recommend trying a small jumper wire from your positive connection on that amp to the remote to see if it will stay on.

The seat bolt should be an adequate ground. What makes you think it's weak?

Use a volt meter (or at least a test light) to determine the status of the ground. Measure the voltage across the terminals of the amp, if it reads around 12-14 volts, you have a good ground.

You may need to scrape paint from around the bolt as others have suggested.

Also use a volt meter to check the remote wire to see if it's supplying power (DO NOT use a test light here, it is possible to exert too much of a power drain on the remote wire circuitry and pop it inside the HU.).

This is true, however, a "bad ground" will also have a dimming affect. With the test light connected to the amp and an attempt to power the amp will answer most questions.

I think you might have checked this already in regards to your other ???? but do you have a fuse that comes off the back of your head unit that is in line with your remote turn on wire?? Just a thought. And scrape that paint off if its in a spot you don't really see to get a good ground.

Use a short run of wire under the carpet over to the door sill area. Use a self tapping screw to hold the connector to the car body. This way you should get a good ground and it won't show. Make sure you use the proper size of wire also, too small a gauge will cause the wire to get hot.

Use a multi-meter to check the resistance at different points in the car. you might have to scrape some paint in the screw hole sometimes to get a good ground. Also remember the shortest ground is the best if at all possible, also helps reduce the risk of introducing unwanted noise in the loop.

it relatively is probable the heater middle. Have a cooling gadget tension attempt finished. This takes 5 minutes and could make specific a breech interior the gadget. because of the heater middle's area under the sprint it could make experience that a leak from it may trickle down under the carpet on the passenger ingredient of the motor vehicle. Get under the sprint with a flashlight and verify out.

don't rely on a test light to check for ground.
certainly, if the test light doesn't find ground, an amp won't either, but it doesn't take much current to get a little bulb to glow.
I've used seat bolts to ground amps before, but it's usally a good idea to run your own ground.

make sure you scrape any paint off the metal where you want to connect it. Paint will make the ground weak.

Attach it to the seatbelt anchor. Usually low and near the seat.
