I am having the same problem. I am getting married but the question is how to do it. Go to Vegas and get married or have a wedding. You can do both. But we decided on a wedding. It's our first wedding so we want to make it really special. But if the money is low then you could go get married in Vegas. Come back and later on have a wedding or have a big reception and celebrate. The choice is up to you.

It depends on what you want and what your budget is. Both can be very nice. People think Vegas and they think you will be getting married by an Elvis impersonator. While that might be true for some, it doesn't have to be. All the hotels have wedding chapels and are reasonably priced. On the other hand, a big wedding is always nice.

Vegas is no longer a place JUST for "quickie" weddings. Most of the big hotels offer a wedding package and have their own chapel & catering. You can have a BIG VEGAS wedding, and I must say with little hassle at all!! The hotels have their own wedding coordinators included in their package deals which makes for a nice wedding. PARTY afterwards!!! What better place!

You can have a Vegas wedding for just the two of you or invite hundreds - there are 71 chapels to choose from (in hotels and independents) and you can spend as little ($25) or as much ($20K+) as you want to have the wedding you want. It's your day, so decide what's most important to you.

The link below lets you search every wedding option in Las Vegas.

Good luck!

I think that's a decision between you and your fiance. I am in the process of planning a wedding now. I would have rather gone to Vegas, or somewhere along those lines, but he wanted a wedding. So wedding it is.

One upside of a Vegas wedding is that the packages cover EVERYTHING from flowers to DJ etc etc etc. The downside is that you have very little say in the matter (at least, that was a friend's experience).

You and your fiance should do what YOU want. Things to keep in mind include the resources of the guests who you want to be there (can they afford the trip), the kind of ceremony and reception you want, your budget, and how you want to remember the day.

IMO, Skip the big wedding! There's so much stress involved and the most beautiful day of your life turns out to be months of stress! Take the money you would spend on a big wedding and put it into your future!

My hubby & I got married w/ only our mothers there. 11 yrs later, we're still happy & I don't regret it. We were in several big weddings and it was chaos!

Make it about you and your future husband and not about putting on a show!

Don't go to veags and get married have a proper wedding at a curch and party at a hall! If your a guy give your fiance the wedding of her dreams don't get married in some place in veags.A proper wedding last forever if you get difforced your fiance may say why did you make me get married in a hotel wedding suit in veags! Some other places that would be nice are western hampton in long island new york, atlantis, and hawi.Thoses would also be good honey moon choices.p.s. a great cruis for a honey moon is queen mary 2, costa magica, and freedom of the seas.

It really depends on your personal preference. If you want a lot of people to be in attendance then go for the bug wedding, if not go to Vegas. You have to go with what you want as a bride and what is realistic to your budget and your happiness.
