My torti (yes the same one that's currently terrorizing our entire household - read my earlier question...LOL) is fearless.

When she's outside (when there's no snow) She will spread out on our sidewalk and not move for anyone or anything short of the lawn mower. A lot of people walk their dogs in my neighborhood. We have everything from Chihauhau's (sp?) to Mastiffs walking our sidewalks. My Maggie will not move! People and their dogs have to walk around her as she swats at them!

I know torti's are a cat of a different color (no pun intended :) but I would like to hear about other people's cats and their surprising characteristics...especially tortis.

Dixie, my Maine Coon mix get her kicks from sitting near the neighbors dog pen. They can't get out and they just bark and bark at her. It's like she's sitting there giving them the finger....

You have one bold kitty! My kitty has some funny behaviors. After I've done the laundry, if I leave my clothes folded in the laundry basket and don't put them away, my cat likes to take various articles of clothing out of the laundry basket and drag them from my bedroom all the way down the stairs, through the living room and into the kitchen!! He doesn't sleep on them or anything, he just transports them! It's so bizarre! But it makes me crazy because he only does it with my CLEAN clothes! I guess he's trying to tell me to put my things away!

The other funny thing he does is he plays with his food. He can't just eat his food from his bowl. Instead, he sticks his paw in his bowl and pours some of his kibble onto the floor. Then he swats it away and then chases after it before he eats it!!! I think he wants to believe that his kibble is live prey that he has to chase down and kill! All I know is, it makes me nuts because I'm sure there is so much cat food under my fridge, under my oven, everywhere but in his belly! He's a really funny cat!

My cat likes to wait on the table next to the hallway and when someone walks past him, he grabs onto their arm and bites. If you don't swat him off quick enough HE STARTS HUMPING!!!!! He is part siamese and part something else. He is solid black. He will also start humping peoples legs when they are in bed asleep. He's nuts.

I'd bet she would be a good mouser too. Sounds like she isn't afraid of anything.
