I started dating this guy a little over a week ago, and we've seen each other three times, and we talk a bunch on the phone. So the question is when should I bring up the whole are we a couple thing? I mean I know that's what he was looking for and I was looking for, but at the same time I'm not completely sure of the correct timing.

Who says you have to "bring it up" at all?

If you like each other, keep seeing each other. Eventually you'll either get sick of each other or want to see each other exclusively. Then you'll know.

There's nothing to "bring up". If he asks you out and you want to go, great. If you ask him out and he wants to go, great. If one of you hesitates on an increasing number of occasions, that might be a clue that one or both of you aren't ready for and/or don't want to go further.

No need for discussion. Just enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Give it at LEAST a month. Dating is just a process of getting to know each other and decide IF you want to be a "couple". Do you really want things to get serious with this guy, after a week? That's not very long, you have to get to truly know a person's character over time and see how consistent they are. Consider whether you're really that much into HIM, or just the idea of having a boyfriend.
