Don't pry. If she was raped and you act like you don't believe her then you're going to really mess up her healing process. The only way you need to know is if she is filing charges against someone who is innocent. And if she is just saying it to get attention then that's just how it is. Always err on the side of believing a rape victim. You have no idea how detrimental it is for a real rape victim to fear not being believed.

Normally people you have been raped can go through emotional problems like depression, getting in to drugs, and then just start to sleep around! It can be a sad thing! There are some people who would lie about being raped for attention! Maybe that could be the case!

Never judge somebody who you suspect that has been raped. Ask her gently if she denies it or doesn't want to talk about it, give her the number to a rape hotline, the police, or a good counselor. Convince her that it wasn't her fault and that this will affect her future relationships if she doesn't get help.

Now if she says she has been raped, and you think she is lying, then I wouldn't do anything. It is better to believe than to doubt. If she has already gone to the police, I don't think they can prosecute unless they have hard evidence, like DNA or scratch marks.

A girl going through being rape...can lead to major depression...self-abuse....low self esteem...if you someone she can really talk to then she will tell you when shes ready to admit what happened to herself...when you ask her about really concetrate on her reaction...maybe she is scared to admit it or maybe its not what happened...she could always just be scared of you knowing she had sex period...
