Cancun was the best vacation we've had so far...
i would recommend staying further south on the Hotel Zone, which the hotel and beaches are more romantice, and then make sure to get the tours to the natural waterpark, etc.! very fun, and actually very reasonable...

I'm not sure what you consider reasonable, but there are some fabulous deals on last minute cruises. The right cruise can be very romantic. Also, a nice Bed n breakfast can be romantic- do a search on the internet to find one near you or near a location you would like to travel to.

Niagra Falls. ESPECIALLY in the winter. Everything is still open but very, very cheap. The falls are still the falls. There is parking which in the summer there isn't and a lot of fun stuff to do like shopping, IMAX, arcades, falls overlook, the casino....ect.

Anywhere ... Mexico, Hawaii, Desert, Mountains ... camping is reasonable & romantic I think ... rent a cabin during the winter & sit inside by the fire ... or sip Margaritas on the beach ... !

Think activities: water activities, horses, paintball, skiing, sports, etc; stay in simpler places to save money.
