I'm a Pagan... Celtic Reconstructionist. No, I do not worship the "devil". Pagan beliefs are numerous and even 2 of the same Path will have a different view of that Path.
I have yet to see any "Holy Writings" which would promote a religion other than its own. You won't see in the Quran Allah telling people to become Jews or Christians. You won't see in any Jewish writings that they should be come Muslims or Christians. And no Christian is going to write that you should become a Jew or a Muslim. Holy Writings only promote One Religion and they ALL do it. So, as far as mainstream is concerned, you must first believe in the Religion before you can believe in the "Right God". Where as in Paganism, that is NOT taken into consideration. Your words and deeds are what is taken into consideration. You don't have to be a Pagan who believes in the Goddess Diana in order to be considered on a Valid Path. Actually, you don't have to be a Pagan at all in order for (most) Pagans to consider your Path a valid one. But if you claim to be for peace but don't show it in your actions, then you lose the credibility you may have gained.

nope nope nope,
You do realize asking this question is opening a can of worms.
And ANY religion are devil worshipers to any OTHER religions.
Research it that would be the best way to learn about pagen.
And to go further. Pagen, is actually pretty vauge. Insie pagan religions you will find: Wicca, Voodoo, African voodoo, Baisicallyany religion that uses a magical basis.
The same way that inside christianity you have Lutherain, catholocizm, Baptists.
But they all belive something different.
Some pagan practices go along more dark nature, but most speak against it. They are nature based religions.
I can certainly tell you I do worship GOD and not the devil. But asking if pagans are evil, that would depend on who you ask. of course most christians would say yes. But I am wiccan and i will tell you wiccans are not devil worshipers.
Amanda,
Satanism is associated with tyhe acult practices, not wica, and yes I do believe the Holy Trinity. No offense intended, you said you might be wrong, just trying to enlighten.

They are not devil worshippers, you ignorant fundie. They celebrate the Earth and the gods that have given it to them, but in a different way than you. Wicca, which is also NOT devil worshipping, came from Paganism as did a lot of aspects of Christianity.

Depends upon how you use the term. Some use "pagan" or "heathen" to refer to someone who follows any other religion than his own. Others use it to mean a member of one of the Neopagan faiths--like Wicca or Druidism--which have a variety of different beliefs and traditions. None, as far as I know, acknowledges the existence of Satan or the Devil, let alone worships any such malevolent supernatural being.

The word pagan originally meant someone from the rural area. Nowadays the word pagan refers to someone who's faith is not a teaching of Abraham (Christianity, Hebrew, Islamic). There are several of these faiths and actually none have to do with the Christian devil as none of them believe in the Christian terms of heaven and hell. Actual Satanist, people who worship Satan, are a faith from Christianity.

Pagan literally means a theist or religious/ spiritualist person who does not follow one of the three abramic religions- Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. The way it is used today, in American culture means someone who practices wicca or another form of nature worship.

No. Pagans largely do not believe in devils. They are people who worship gods that are related to nature.
