Yes but if your question is if you take a bottle of acetaminophen (Tylenol) will you die the answer is not likely and in most cases of overdose whether accidental or intentional the person ends up in the hospital but does not die although permanent damage to the liver or kidney may result. I hope that intential overdose is not your intent and if it is I would hope and pray that you have a friend or relative to talk to as waking up in the hospital is a terrible outcome for someone who wishes to be free of problems as the hospital stay and required psychiatric consultation simply add to problems.

Absolutely....I am a fire paramedic. Tylenol is very dangerous in large doses, in fact, a typical scenario is a person takes a large amount of tylenol, it is absorbed into the blood in about 30 minutes. From that point on nothing can be done. You will die if you took enough. There is no antidote. Your liver will shut down within a week and thats it for you. Lots of people fack suicide by taking tylenol. They dont realize it will kill you. Drug companies dont like you to know this but it is true. i have seen it several times. Take enough, everyone dies. Two large Costco size bottles will do the trick.

Absolutely. Acetaminophen is extremely hepatotoxic (toxic to the liver) in high doses. Three times the maximum recommended dosage can result in sudden liver failure that can occur in as little as 3 days or as long as a few weeks. Not a pleasant way to die. This kind of overdose would most likely be a deliberate suicide attempt. If you follow the directions and heed the warnings & precautions, you're unlikely to have any ill effects.

An overdose would have to be a BIG dosage. More likely, you'd die from chronic over usage over time. Although infants and children can die from a one time overdose (obviously not an intentional one on their part) - it's toxic to the liver.

An overdose of tylenol will damage the liver over time. You need your liver to live!

If you suffer from liver illness or if you regularly consume large quantity of alcohol you should be especially careful when taking tylenol.
PS: Why you ask this? Really hope you are not interested in committing suicide. If thats the case contact immediately sb you trust (parents, really good and honest friend, yahoo ask and answer or at best ask for professional help. But dont stay alone with your problems.)

Yes, you can die....at the very least you will destroy your liver and kidneys and have to be on dialysis for the rest of your life. Or you could end up on life support. Imagine......you are laying in a hospital/nursing home for years and you can't talk or see, but you can hear everything. Sound like fun?

If that is the end result you are looking for the answer is no. However, by doing so the damage to your liver will cause you more pain than you thought possible. I would definitely seek out someone you can talk to about whatever is going on in your mind. you sound way too young to worry about dying.
Good luck

I'm sure that you could die from an overdose of anything. Why in the world would you ask that question? Are you looking to end your life? If that's the case, you're kind of grasping for attention there.

Yes! It is extremely harmful to the liver. A child can die from too many, so an adult is not to far behind that tolerance barrier.
