Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and a side of whatever veggies. Country fried steak, gravy, veggies, and mashed potatoes. Pizza (if you have kids they wont complain). It is also fairly easy to make your own pizza using either dough or french bread. Hamburgers/hot dogs with french fries/chips. You could even use bratwurst and bbq any of these. Seafood. Like fish sticks, or shrimp, with a salad or something. Au Jus with french fries, or even just by themselves. Or you could make what I'm having for dinner, which is home made burritos. Get a pound or so of ground beef, 1 can of El Pato, and some refried beans. Brown the meat, add the can of El Pato, fill the can about 1/4 the way with water and throw it in with the meat and El Pato. Let it simmer for a bit and then add a few scoops of beans. If you enjoy a little more spice, buy some jalapenos or habaneros and dice them up good. Before you add the El Pato, while the meat is still cooking, throw the diced jalapenos in and let it cook with the meat.

All fruits are fruit and vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually selected far too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fresh vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

Chicken Veggie Stirfry with Basmati rice
Chunk up chicken onions peppers mushrooms broccoli carrot whatever you like in a big wok with some oil of your choice . Add some chicken broth and a little cooking sherry plus sauces of your choice like sheszuan. Right near the end of the cooking you can add bean sprouts and waterchestnuts. I like curry, some people don't. You can use some coconut milk, top with cashews or any tasty thing you like.
Basmati rice has a wonderful buttery flavor.
This kind of a meal is versatile.

Try this: http://www.blessedquietness.com/journal/homemake/russia.htm

My mother is not Russian but it was a dish popular in the 70's that my grandmother made for her often. It is easier than it sounds AND you can substitute "hot roll mix" with 2 canisters of Pillsbury french bread. You know...the kind you find in your dairy case near the croisoints.
Bake at the temp it says on the french bread canister and just until the bread is golden brown. Its very different and yummy.

CHICKEN MARSALA - In first frying pan, Cut boneless chicken into chunks or strips, coat with flour and cook in butter until all sides just start to brown, set aside. In second frying pan, melt butter and add fresh sliced mushrooms (lots) and cook until they just start to soften, add generous amount of Marsala wine and a couple of finely diced garlic cloves and cook for three minutes. Add chicken from first pan and cook until sauce thickens (flour from chicken will thicken sauce), Add a small spritz more Marsala wine ( to refresh Marsala wine flavor) and serve immediately.
