You should not generalize? Could this be moral of the story?

And whoso commits a fault or a sin, then throws the blame thereof on an innocent person, certainly bears the burden of calumny and a manifest sin.

To me....
It seems to say that your faults or sins cannot be put on you by others (like the sins of your parents) then the statement is taken further by stating that YOU should not do the same thing.
