Take a loaf of bread, slice it, then cut it into square shapes. If you're using sliced bread, just cut little square shapes. Very handy for stuffing or making croutons.

Bread cut into small cube shapes, larger than diced, usually about 1/2 inch.
Croutons are seasoned cubes of bread, toasted or fried, served with soups or salads.

Small squares of bread - like you find in packages of stuffing mix. When they're toasted, they're known as Croutons.
