.45 acp and .44 in Desert Eagle or Ruger Redhawk, although the Blackhawk is fine for hunting . 9mm and .40 are concession rounds, recoil, ammo capacity, ect. the .45 is a man stopper. The .454 is nice but what can it do that a hot .44 can't, and if your gonna go that big go all the way and get .500 S&W mag.

You've thrown a curve here mixing auto loader ammo and revolver ammo. In revolver I prefer the .357 Magnum. Unless you mean .357 Sig, then I prefer that one over the .9mm, .40 S&W or even the .45acp. I like the .44 Mag. in a carbine and consider the .44 Magnum revolver the max for a handgun. The .454 Casull is okay because it can also fire the .45 Long Colt. Otherwise it is too big for practical use. In a pinch any of the rounds you list would have to do.

It really depends on what you are wanting it for, but I have a .40 S&W and I love it.
