I've had Anti-Depressants, Anti-Psychotics, Anti-Inflammatories, all the Triptans, Visteril, Toradol, Tramadol, Axert, Vikadin (which I can now take 5 of before I feel anything, than puke), Chiroprator visits, Muscle relaxers, EVERYTHING! I need a cure, it takes so much out of my life, and I'm only a Senior in highschool. Please, anyone know of anything?

Diet has a lot to do with migraines. Prevention is the best medicine in this situation.
Stay away from cheese, red meats, red wines and too much caffeine. Also any kind of nuts. All of these things are known to trigger migraines.
Imitrex does work. But not for everyone. It comes in pills, nasal spray, and injections. The nasal spray will take your headache away in 20 seconds, no lie. I've used it before. The pills or the injection takes at least 20 minutes.
There are also medicines called Relpax, Inderal, Topamax that prevent migraines. Be careful as they tend to lower the blood pressure.
You may also have a deficiency of magnesium in your body. You can buy magnesium at any market or drugstore and it's not expensive. Lack of B vitamins can also be a cause of migraines.
Smoking and drinking can also trigger migraines. I found that putting a cold compress on my head and over my eyes helps tremendously.
Maybe it's sinus too. What about eyestrain? Have you had your eyes checked?
I hope some of this helps you. I know what it is to suffer from these types of headaches. They are no joke, that's for sure. And they aren't your 'typical' headache.

Hope you feel better.

Try seeing a Herbalist. I treat a lot of migraine patients with good success although it does take time. It is not a case of killing the pain, but finding a cause or causes and treating them. Some are triggered by food such as cheese, chocolate, red wine, some are the result of stress, menstrual cycles, poor digestion or drug overdose. Most are a combination of everything.
My last migraine patient had had 2/wk for 5 yrs, over a period of 6 months they decreased in frequency and after 9 months she has only had 1 in the last 2 months. Her digestion, nervous system, liver, endocrine system(hormones) were treated and she made alterations to her diet.

In the UK you can find a Medical Herbalist at www.nimh.org.uk and I think they have links to a similar Institute in the States so you can ensure he person you see is qualified.

Okay you been through the headache machine, so have I and it sucks. I have had uncontrollable headaches for 13 years going on 14 and its been so bad that I've wanted to kill myself on more than one occasion. Mine are from an infection caused by a mosquito bite, but that is irrelavant how you got the headaches, the point is now you have them and they aren't going away. You need PAIN MANAGEMENT. My life is normal until I get a headache and then my world is turned upside down, non of the drugs you listed worked for me either but a good pain doctor will try and help you plus you are going to have to research this on your own as well. I am lucky in that I was a Medic in the army, aRespiratory Therapist and a Pharmaceutical representative when I came down with my illness, you are at a distinct disadvantage. You need to learn about anatomy and physiology and the brain, the central nervous system and basic pharmacology, luckily most is available online. A new drug that has changed my life is Topamax. Also used for seizure it is hard to get used to, you feel drunk for three weeks and can not drive, yet hardly walk properly, but then it dramatically reduces headaches. I went from 5 headaches per week to 3 a month. for bad headaches be prepared to take a huge dose like 200mg three times a day, but I have had no side effects, with the exception of that first month. i also wear a fentanyl patch. Fentanyl is one of the strongest narcotics but it leeches into my blood vessels through my skin so you don't swallow pills, just change a patch every three days, with these two drugs I keep my headaches under control most of the time, but their are still break through situations so it is important to hook up with a PAIN CLINIC, write a diary of your pain and vomiting, what medicine you were given, what the results were, how much it cost in time, money and lost schooling. These are thing the clinic will want to see. good luck email me if you need more advice

You might want to try some form of cardio exercise. I've been told that headaches and migraines come from slow blood flow to the brain. Begin the exercise slowly to see what you can tolerate, then when you find your pace, do it consistently each day. You can also stay away from chocolate, caffine and peanuts. Try keeping a record of activity, meals etc. whenever you get your migraines. If you haven't already, go talk to a doctor..

You may want to see a sinus specialist. It could be allergy related. I have the same problem as well as my friend. She got her sinus passage operated on and has no problems anymore. I take Flonaise and Zyrtex for my Migraines which are caused by allergies. I don't think Anti-Depressants or Anti-Psychotics is your answer unless your going through hard times.

I've suffered from migraines that make me throw up too, so any pill a doctor suggests is pretty useless because it comes right back up again. Try one of the migraine meds that comes in the form of a nasal spray.
