So on friday i had a lump removed from my breast...and i am nervous to find out the results.....but this is what im thinking..
I am only 20 years old
Breast cancer does not run in my family..not one person
The lump moved around easily
it got bigger and smaller through out the month, bigger before my period and smaller afterwards
i have a family history of the fibrocystic breasts in my family, my cousin got one removed about a month ago and it was benign
The doctor said that he had no doubt in his mind that the lump was benign and if he could bet a million dollars on it being non cancerous..he would

But i still worry......what do you think..

Good for you for getting your doctors to come this far with you. Most would have just shrugged it off as nothing and wouldn't have even tried to check it out simply b/c of your age. If the lump is growing and then getting smaller then it isn't cancer. I have fibrocystic breasts and the lump that I complained about that ended up being cancer didn't get bigger and smaller.....it just grew bigger. Good luck with your test results!!

I think you should listen to your doctor. By the way your age and family history have nothing to do with BC, anyone can get BC anytime. If you have a history of fibrocystic breasts that is what it most likely is. A few words of advice, if you stay away from caffeine and chocolate the cysts will diminish and they won't be so painful around your monthly cycle, also taking vitamin E helps in this situation as well.

You're doing everything right. There is no sense in worrying about something that might never happen anyway.

I know only to well how hard this is, but just wait for the information from pathology.

Take it easy, and treat yourself to something special as you wait. ;-)

You have done everything right so far so have peace in that, pray for the best, remember the many positive things that you have listed & it will all work out. God Bless.

It sounds to me like its benign also. Plus you are way too young for it to be cancerous. My mom has a cancerous one and we are very worried about her rignt now.
