Why are 4% (immigrants) given such preferential bias while the white English community (96%) can't even wear a cross to work or display the English flag?

To Laughingman Copycat I'm talking about the UK not the US. A woman working for British Airways in London was suspended for wearing her cross at work cos it might cause offence. She appealed and lost.

Because in the mentality that we should be accomodating of all the traditions and sensibilities of people coming in from foreign culture, it seems we forgot that their countries are attatched to the same planet, and accomodated all of their flaws, especially their racism against caucasians. If I were in your position I'd go and wear a cross gussied up with the colours of the english flag and come dressed in white tie except that the low cut waistcoat would be designed to appear as an english flag. (Would look terrible, but you've got the point accross anyway.)

I also disagree that immigrants should be given preferential treatment and I think you'd find a lot of them do too. We'll never have a real diverse community if being patriotic is suppressed while other cultures are embraced so openly.

I'm not clear where I should be pigeon holed in your description; I'm not an immigrant, but I'm not English either...

4%? i thought the UK was *flooded* with immigrants to the point of no return. make up your minds people! Did you hear of the british teacher who was sacked for wearing a burqa? All i could see was the britsh flag during the world cup, and if this site is anything to go by, no one is really that concerned about political correctness..racial slurs left, right and centre! The normal people on this site, and in society in general aren't succumbing to 'political correctness', they're just showing a thing called respect. dear me........

The greatest evil of political correctness is positive discrimination.
the police force among most govt bodies operate a quota system where they will accept only a fixed percentage of ethnic whites before they are bound by policy to recruit minority groups.
REGARDLESS OF MERIT.
So if you have just left the armed forces with a medal, have used your spare time to study law and are physically able, and all you ever wanted to do is join the police force.......well tough.
Theres a 5'1" muslim ,asthmatic, halitosis,a gcse in woodwork and dirty shoes. And theres a warrant card with his name on it.

Surely for our system to be progressive we should have the best ppl equipped for a job ..doing that job.
If that means a minority OR a majority group fails to meet that standard, then so what!

The "white English", are not prepared to go out onto the street and demand their rights, unlike our Muslim brothers who will do so at the drop of a hat. We have lost our identity, look at our young people, they couldn't care a toss.

I've given up trying to be politcally correct. As a matter of fact, I rather despise it. It totally negates right and wrong - it fills the world with shades of gray. It's a demoralization of society.
And, one of the first victims of political correctness is Christianity. I'm not sure how it happened, or why we (Christians) have let it happen. But, I'm Christian and it's "Merry Christmas" , not Happy Holidays, the birth of Christ is what the whole reason for "winter vacation" ! We are SO spiraling downward.
Sorry, but you didn't expect a rant in response to your query.

Sure seems to be that way here in the US too. Kind of getting the feeling that white Christians are going to have to find their own seperate place to live just to stand a chance to survive.
