Don't know about viruses, but it causes hella pop-ups and tons of tracker cookies... I don't really think it's worth it.

To the best of my knowledge you cannot get a virus just from downloading music on Limewire. I have been using Limewire for years and not once did I recieve a virus from downloading an MP3 file. If you are using Limewire to download software and games, then the chances of you getting a virus are high. If your downloading videos then you have a very small chance of getting a virus.

No, limewire by itself does not cause viruses on your computer.
The problem occurs when people download questionable or pirated software using limewire. The software you download may contain viruses and ad-ware program.
If you use limewire, make sure to stick with legal content and to use a current virus checkers and anti-spyware program

limewire p2p network what happen is ur pc is connected to that network when you download from limewire ur pc is open to anything from spyware adware malware trojans virus keyloogers all of them can end up on ur pc from using limewire and 1005 say no limewire is safe to use they have avg anitvirus and spybot they think all is safe omg they really should look in there pc to find out what really is in it . it is upto u if you usie this to get free music movies software in da end ur pc will be so slow and mess up ur need to take it tobe fixed then ur have to pay out a lot of $$$$$ and u will be ripped off as well so this is upto u if u want to use limewire or any other hacking software that will crap up ur pc

My son used limewire, then we took pc to be fixed for something else and they found a few viruses that came from lime wire. It's better to pay for the service so you don't get any viruses. Free isn't always better

Limewire is a program and by itself, it does not cause viruses.
However, what does are the files that you down load. If you are dowloading a song, be careful if the file is too big as it is possible that it contains a virus.
Get youself a good virus program....you need one if you are downloading.

No limewire by its self will not harm you, but the stuff that limewire is downloading for you may have bad things in it

I have heard it does. But that isn't a definite yes. I wouldn't advise downloading it - but if you really want to install virus check and disinfect software before you do.
