I just started dating a guy that I really like and connect with. We talked about Christmas and we decided that we want to give each other gifts. I have no idea what to get him. He likes to write and he smokes. I don't have any idea what to get him. He has a watch, a phone, a nice wallet so I can't get him that. Ideas please!!

It sounds to me like you're in that stage of the relationship where it's still fresh and new but you want to take it further.
You want to give him something romantic, meaningful, and timeless without going over the top.
You say he's in to writing, I suggest you get him something which helps him in that pursuit.
Perhaps a rhyming dictionary. It's a tool that poets use to write poetry. It's timeless because he'll use it more and more as he matures as a writer. It's meaningful because it shows your into him. And with the right card and subtle hints it's romantic, because he'll be able to write you love sonnets by valentine's day.

You could also get him a how to write screenplays guide, etc.

Does he like wearing cologne? My husband uses the Axe spray stuff, and Wal-Mart has it in a little gift collection right now. I think it's the body spray, shower gel, and something else, not quite sure what it is. Does he need any belts for his pants? That works too.

well you mentioned he likes to write....take him to the mall and see if he will go into a book store....maybe he will mention something that he likes or needs.... be casual about it and he wont expect what ever u get him.... but i will tell u what u do get him, he will like it......
