You should do what you and your fiancee' want to do. A big wedding is great, a thing to always remember...with your family and friends. But they can be really expensive. A Vegas wedding can be just as memorable and not quite as expensive. Either way, you will be married and ready to get on with your life. Good luck.

If you have all kind of money to waste on a wedding have a big wedding. If you want to have a fun wedding hit Vegas.

Elvis Baby!
My husband and I eloped in Vegas in 2003. We went to a chapel where they did a live web broadcast, so everyone got to see us get married... with none of the fuss! I'm happy I eloped, although my sisters are still mad at me for doing so. I sometimes wish I had a "real" wedding, but that doesn't change the fact that I am happily married- no matter HOW we got married.

Do whatever you like...you can even do both!! There are a lot of great resorts in Vegas, specifically one on Lake Las Vegas, where you can have a fantastic wedding.

If you have been dreaming of something special, do it or you'll regret it.
Which do you want?
What can you two afford?
Can your family go to Vegas?
Has this been a dream of yours, or is it just a affirmation of your love?
Another thought is getting married at a local "special spot" a historical landmark, a lakeside resort.....
Remember, ultimately it's not the day that matters, but it makes for some good memories...
It's the lifetime you two are committing to together that starts after the party is over.
Good luck!

I know that this is not one of the choices but a small wedding is a great thing to do. You could have something like 50 guestd (just close friends and family). It would have an intimate fell, really romantic. This would give you the chance to be 'the bride' and it also controls the cost.

Good luck!!

have your big wedding because you will glad that you did. Look at it this way...planning such a BIG event gets stressful and you have to go with it. I had a big wedding and it was stressful...I was picking up my wedding dress just one day before the wedding and my mother and I got into a car accident...however, the wedding still went on the next day.

WE DID BOTH! WE MARRIED IN VEGAS JUST FOR US AND THEN AT HOME FOR OUR FAMILY. NOONE KNEW WE WERE ALREADY MARRIED. IT WAS GREAT! WE HAD FRIENDS THERE WHO WERE ARE WITNESSESS AND THEN CAME HOME AND DID IT AGAIN NINE MONTHS LATER SO MY DAD COULD WALK ME DOWN THE ISLE. MY DAD WOULD HAVE NEVER WENT ON A PLANE OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE JUST HAD EVERYONE GO OUT THERE. BUT YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT. WE ALL HAVE IDEAS OF WHAT OUR WEDDING WILL BE LIKE. SO DOES THE GROOM. VEGAS WAS MORE FOR HIM. THE HOME WEDDING WAS FOR ME. I ALSO GOT TWO WEDDING BANDS OUT OF THE DEAL! IT WILL BE A GREAT STORY FOR OUR KIDS ONEDAY!
GOOD LUCK!

Do your self a favor and run away for me after my wedding i couldn't understand what all the hoopla was about. It went by so fast i don't even remember what my isle looked like.
