I saw someone say that Mexico should pay for their medical expenses, but I think if illegals can prove they work at some business, then the corporation should assume all responsibility for their families medical expenses.
It would be a greater deterant than a fine.

The problem with that is that most won't have any proof that they work there. They either get paid under the table or get hired using someone else's id. The employer won't admit that the illegal alien works for him because he knows its against the law.

You are right, it would be a great deterrant though if there was a way to prove it.

Well, I agree that all hospitals should bill the businesses that hire the illegals because the tax payers can't afford to subsidize for the medical expenses.

I would say that should be a suggestion added to a "temporary guest worker" program if they figure they "need" one. Why should they get the cheap labor and not have some consequences? May make them think about raising their pay to a decent level to attract citizens or keep the cheap pay and be responsible for all medical care.

Right, great idea, in theory.

But what would be the incentive for the illegal immigrant to tell the hospital about their employer? As it is, they pretty much get their healthcare for free, and putting the responsibility onto the employer would probably mean they'd get fired.

Medical expenses are a huge problem that needs to be fixed in the U.S . I do not think Mexico would pay for their citizens medical. America leaves their own people to die or live with medical aliments which is unnecessary.
So why would you think that a poor person that is illegal could handle the medical expenses they have.

Hospitals bill workers' compensation carriers for work-related illnesses of illegals, just like those of all other workers.

And they bill motor insurers for crash-related injuries of illegals, just like those of everyone else. (Trouble is, illegals once in the USA more than a couple of months may be driving unlicensed, their home license void (it's good up to a year for legal tourists). But if unlicensed, the insurance is void, and the American injured in an accident gets diddly squat unless s/he has uninsured motorist cover.)

Hospitals should bill the responsible parties. If there's an on-the-job injury sustained by someone in the employ of a business, then bill the insurance company or the business. Of course.

What makes you think this ISN'T how it works right now?

Any company that offers medical insurance to their employees should be billed in the event that the employee needs hospital care. Isn't that the point of medical insurance?

So many things need to be overhauled in this country, we don't even know where to begin with it all.
