Depends where you live.
Visit a park and sit under a tree reading poetry. Take a long walk. Play board games. Take a salsa dancing class. Have a picnic. Go for a bike ride. Watch movies. Visit the local library. Attend a cheap/free concert or show. Go bowling. Go to a lecture or book reading at your local college. Hike. Listen to music. Take a ceramics class. Go wine tasting. Cook together. Volunteer somewhere together. Play cards at a local coffee shop. Visit a museum.

Museum's can be fun...especially if you can find a darkly lit corner! Bike rides through the park are often romantic if you bring along a picnic basket that you prepared with her favorite foods and maybe a suprise gift or two.

It doesn't have to be anything expensive, maybe a self-made coupon book filled with coupons for you to do things for her...or better yet...to her! Girls love pictures...so gather up all of the pictures you can find and present her with a nice scrap book or Photo CD filled with her favorite songs in the background!

Hey, I'm all about cheap dates....My husband and I are over 30 and still like to go on cheap dates....There's the zoo...go to the toystore and buy bubbles and go to the park and blow bubbles....buy an easy crossword puzzle book and do crosswords together at a coffee shop....go for a scenic drive and stop and get some icecream somewhere..little silly things! They have lasting effects!

You could visit a park for a picnic, go sledding, go to museum, go to art fairs, there are often free plays on concerts in your paper. Do a scavenger hunt, go play basketball at a local park.

Go to the park. It's really romantic and you get to show off a love of nature(even if you don't have one) she'll totally dig it!
