change the bulbs
You can buy extra bulbs at walmart....
it's easy to switch them out, just pull the bulb and the blub and the little plastic thing that holds it should pop out, and you pop in the new bulb and pastic thing.

On the sets that don't work check the plug end for a little fuse,
there should be a little snap off cover on the (male) plug. Check
that are connections are tight. If there is no fuse or if it's not blown
( it will be black or you can see that the little wire in the fuse is broken) If that's doesn't do it, take a good bulb and try it in each one of the bulb sockets to see if it lights and that all sockets are good. If one of the bulbs are a different color or it is marked on the back that it is the (G) ground change that one first,or go to the end (Female connection) and replace that one first. And Last,
take all the sets apart and put them in a different order.
Christmas lights are so beautiful but they can really try your patience. Good luck.

You have a bad bulb or a loose connection. start testing each bulb & connection of the non-working sections with the lights plugged in. when you replace the bad bulb it will light up.

The lights are wired in groups of lights or sections. if you remove a bulb an entire section will go out. you have two sections that have a loose connection or a bad bulb.
