One God! All religions that come about by mans own imagination, teach varying ways to please 'god', ritual, idols, superstition, good works etc, however, there is one religion that is unique, the true Christian religion is God telling us, who we are, why we are separated from Him, who He is and how He has provided a way back to Him through His sacrifice upon the cross. What of Judaism and Islam? They both point the way to Christ! The Jews rejected Jesus and are still waiting for the Messiah, although the Old Testament prophesies are fulfilled (Too many verses to quote here), the Qur'an of Islam, actual says in it's Suras(verses) that one should seek the 'Truth' by asking the people of 'The Book' (Sura X Yunus: 94), verses in th Qur'an also state that Isa (Jesus) should be listened to and be obeyed!!(Sura #43 Zukhruf:63). Mohamed didn't know what his final state would be Sura 46:9, Jesus, on the other hand stated clearly, He (Jesus) is the Truth, The Way, and The Life! I truly believe in One God, three persons of the Godhead, the Qur'an, says the following about Isa (Jesus)
Obey Jesus Sura #43 Zukhruf:63
He's the author of creation! Sura #Maida:113, 114) whocan be the author of creation except God Himself, JW's take note!
He' coming again Sura #43 Zukhruf :61
Word of Allah!!!!Sura #3 Al-i Imran 45
Spirit from Him Sura #Nissa: 171
Virgin birth Sura#19 Maryam 20,21 Mary's miraculous pregnancy Sura #21 Anblyaa 91
Sinless nature!!!! Sura #19 Maryam:17,19
Knew the future Sura #43 Zukhruf:61,63
Jesus died, resurrected and ascended after death Sura #3Al-i-Imran:55.
Consider Sura 41:43

the actual quote is, "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]." John 1:18, kjv. (most of the translations agree that the line includes 'the only begotten Son'.)
Anyway, I do tend to agree with you about the idea of the trinity and would follow Jesus. However, should Jesus tell me to go with the trinity idea, well..there I go.

I do not believe that the divine power that made and governs us all is a
a)single person,
b) a bloke
The divine is so far removed from us we cannot comprehend it. I worship the Lord as the embodiment of all things masculine, and the Lady as all things feminine. You can't have life without male and female. It seems logical to me there has to be both a male and female divine power, both parts of the incomprehensible whole.

a true trinitarian belives in one God only!

God is manifested in the 3.
1.FATHER
2.SON
3.HOLY SPIRIT
similarly man was created as a triune being;
1.soul
2.spirit
3.body
the 3 are one!!

another example is shown in a common lab experiment where water(h2o) can be manifested simultaneously in 3 distinct states
in a test tube. (all 3 present at same time)
1.gas(steam)
2.solid(ice)
3.liquid

of course the is only one God,whatever his name might be to you,but in the end he is one exra-ordinay human, who has a Son,Jesus and the holy spirit, which we humans can experience.the problem is though that people mix up God with Jesus.........they are two different person, ones the father(god)and ones the son(jesus),who he sent to earth to be an example to all of us,and tell us how God wants us to live.

Why should we worship things we cannot explain. All religion is just a way for greedy people to control a society. At the top of any religious 'church' you will find a very rich person.
Can we not just worship life? and enjoy it for what it is, a short time of being...

And then you have the Unitarians, who have believed there is only one God for quite some time, but still (some of them) consider themselves Christian. Many of the US Founding Fathers were Unitarian either by affiliation, or their beliefs.
