The other person's insurance is not a "bill paying" coverage. You need to get your bills paid through your own first party coverage on your auto policy, if you carry that coverage, or your health insurance. If you have no other source to pay your bills, be ready for them to be unpaid until your claim settles. Your claim against the other driver's insurance is a third party claim. You get money for your pain and suffering (and bills if you have them) at one time, at the end of your treatment and you have to sign a release for the money.

You might want to call the collectors to tell them that you are waiting on a insurance claim, make sure you have proof of this. Some of them will understand, OR ask family or friends to help you and pay them from the insurance claim. I hope you have a good insuranse coverage because they pay for you wages lost and hospital bill, ect.

The other person's insurance will pay for your property loss, and any medical expenses, and perhaps get you a car to drive while yours is being fixed. They won't pay your bills for you, nor are they obligated to. You *might* be able to get some for missed work due to the accident, but that will come when everything is settled, not now.

If you have a disability policy, or your employer provides one, you should be able to receive some income from that. Otherwise, you may have to borrow and wait until your settlement comes.

Do you have a goose behind you, or keep hearing a strange squawking that sounds like "Aflac?"
