Sounds like you're looking for a Home Equity Loan or Home Equity Line of Credit. Go to www.lendingtree.com. You apply on line and several banks can then view your app and provide you with offers.

You aren't really looking for a mortgage for 15K. A mortgage that small may not even be profitable enough for a lot of banks to even consider funding. What would be more suited to your situation would be a HELOC that you could consolidate your debt with. The closing costs on that product would be a lot less and it would actually make sense. First you need to prepare yourself for a mortgage to ensure you qualify for the best terms. But I personally would choose Wells Fargo or WAMU. They offer the best terms on 2nds. Go to my site to ensure your credit is in good shape, and that you're financials are organized before applying!
