I'm a black girl and I want me a pretty Asian boy. But it seems that the Asians I know of stick to themselves, are racist and don't like Blacks too much. My family wants me to go with a Black guy but all the ones I know are trying to be gangstas and thugs (ugh!). I'm also a devout Christian. Are my standards too high?

No your standards aren't too high babe.. You only get what you ask for or settle for.. You can have what you want but it takes TIME AND PATIENCE...if you are willing to do that, it will come.. as a devout christian pray about it... god will bring you the one that is right for you.. what we want is not always what god wants.. pray for him to show you who he wants you to be with.. pray for him to speak to you... he will.. it only takes time, patience and perseverance! I don't think your standards are too high. Interracial dating is tougher than dating within the same race. However, it is becoming more common. I wouldn't give up..I would suggest you try to hang places where there are more asians, take classes in which asians are predominant..e.g. a Asian Language class..or join asian clubs. It might be weird at first..but I think they would accept you eventually. Best of luck!

I don't think that they are too high. You know what you want and you are trying to get that. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. More people should take after you.

I don't think your standards are too high, but inter-racial dating can be hard. If I were you I look around in yor church or a similar church to see if there are any christian men your age.
