Because some of us have.......'been there, done it and are still wearing the T-shirt'.........
.........and how stupid are you to ask 'that' question to us who know nothing.

They simply believe in the fact that the more people who read the question(s), the more diversified the answers will be. This leads them to sift for the best answer. Here I'm talking of mature logical answers and not those of abuse. The logic behind this sight is to allow every Jack and Jill to play a "good Samaritan" role by trying to help an unknown stranger overcome their difficulties, or to bring joy to someone depressed through jokes or to assist someone academically, or whatever.
We don't have all the answers, but through research, I have found that I now know some things which I didn't have any knowledge of, Thanks to Yahoo Answers.

Well... when they ask a question then that's a clear sign as to what they want help with and it's the same way with the answers. Besides this is just a place to get advice, not so much to get a definite answer. Maybe they should change this to Yahoo! Advice

Because everyone DOES have answers. They may not be the right ones or even pertinent, but they ARE answers.
One reason people (like yourself) ask questions here is because there is a LARGE group of all types of people, not just the ones you hang out with everyday, who have a cornucopia of experiences. (Sorry, I saw a chance to use 'cornucopia' and took it.) Some of them have just had to deal with the same problems you're having now and their solutions may or may not be right for you, but it gives them a chance to help someone through something they just had to deal with.
I do it to keep my mind off of the girl I'm pining over, and to use my experiences to help give some guidance to others.
I hope that answers your question.

This is a communications board. If people on here are stupid enough to ask any question, then they should be prepared to get almost any type of answer.
Simple solution to your question is "if people don't want to look at these answers, then don't come to this web site"

I think that we are not really looking for answers more that we are looking for opinions from people who have been in the same situation. Or maybe just opinions from people who are on the outside looking in. Opinions are like A-holes everyone has one. Right now you seem to be a really big one.

We don't but sometimes we've been in similar situations and can offer another view of how to look at a situation. People need to take into account their own feelings and make decisions on their own we're just a good sounding board.

We just want to voice our problems and hopefully someone out there will give an answer that helps us guide us in a direction, any direction. Sometimes with relationship problems, we just need someone to talk to, someone who gives up feedback and just lets us know that we aren't alone.

because combined life experience is a powerful thing, just because your situation is new to you doesnt mean its the first time in history its happened. take the mass of answers you get and put them in context with your own situation, and you get a well-rounded view of possible options and outcomes. everyone sees things in a different light
