I proposed to my wife while riding the antique cars at an amusement park. As were getting on I told her "I bet you $20 can't make it all the way around the course without hitting the bumpers". She still owes me $20 ;).

For preparation, I asked her room mates all but one of them could leave the house, so on the day I proposed, there would not be a bunch of people walking through. When she came home from classes, I had made a path with rose petals to her room, where I waited on bended knee, and when she entered, I sang "Longer" by Dan Fogelberg. After I finished singing, I asked her to marry me. She said, "Yes". In case she needed help deciding, I had brought some chocolate covered strawberries I had made that morning, and I had a dozen roses in a variety of colors. That was 2 days before her 21st birthday. It seems hard to believe that I have been married over 8 1/2 wonderful years.

Well I just recently got engaged, we went out to our reserant with my best friend and her hunny. It is a small mom and pap place, that's what we like. After eating the waitress comes over and asked to take our picture for the 27th annerversory of the resterant. I was like okay, and my soon to be was movinghis chair all over the place and hitting into the old man behind him, As i am still looking at the lady smiling, I am saying lets go the lady doesn't have all day. He is still all over the place, i am like come on hunny, still smiling, he says Jennifer, I say what, he say baby, I say what in an annoyed voice and look at him holding a ring in his hand, he says will you due me this honor in becoming my wife. I lost it, I was shocked, close to full out crying. I couldn't give my anwser for a good 5 minutes, he acually asked again all nervous.....are you going to give me ann anwser? I said yes....I loved it...

My fiance and I met at a Starbucks.. so on our year anniversary we went out to a nice restaurant and had a good meal . He asked me if I would be interested in going to Starbucks for some coffee, and me thinking nostalgically said yes. So we went in ordered some coffee and sat down. He was acting very fidgety and after about 10 minutes asked if I wanted to leave. So I said yes, and we walked to the car. As I was walking to the car door he said "Holly, will you marry me?" I think I said yes before he could finish the sentence. That night 1 year before we literally got kicked out of Starbucks and stood in that very parking lot in the freezing cold talking about everything and anything because neither one of us wanted to leave. Now, we never have to leave each other ever again.

Well I just got engaged this past friday. We had went out to dinner at Maggiano's and we were with alot of our friends and family so I thought it was going to happen then. Well dinner past and nothing happened. We were supposed to do something after dinner but he said he was tired and didn't feel like it so we didn't. I was kinda upset cuz nothing had happened. Well when me and my friend were on the way home she was driving really slow and I was wondering why but I didn't think much of it. I was too upset. Well I got in my car and drove home and I kinda had my suspicions but wasn't quite sure so I dismissed it. When I walked in there were hershey kisses on the floor leading into my room and on my bed there were roses and a card. I opened the card and it said "People say I kiss the ground you walk on so I guess its true!" (So sweet.) So when I turned around he was there and he told me how much he loved me and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I cried and said yes!! It was so nice. My family and friends were all there. It was so nice.

We were having a great day in Chicago, we just got done from the field museum and it was about 3pm and we were starving! We started walking to Michigan ave. where there's alot of great restaurants. Then we got to Grant park, surrounded by flowers, and he just sat down on the grass and said "I'm tired of walking, lets just rest here for a min." I said fine but break out the snacks we brought at least. Then he pulled out a package of Cracker Jacks. I started to open it, and I found a small velvet pouch inside... I just thought it was one of those really cool prizes. Then he took the pouch from my hand, pulled out a beautiful ring, got down on one knee, and told me how much he loved me and asked me to marry him!!! Apparently he remembered that I told him years ago that I'd marry him even if he gave me a ring out of a Cracker Jacks box!!! How sweet! We're getting married next May!

daydreaming as a young woman, i always thought that being proposed to would be this monumentous occasion, clouds parting, angels singing, ect. i thought that my man would propose to me on our anniversary, it would have been perfect. i already knew he had the ring, it's an heirloom from my great aunt, and he took it to have it sized and put a bigger diamond on it. he even showed it to me once he got it back. so naturally, i thought that our anniversary would be the perfect time for him to pop the question. so we went to our favorite restraunt for a romantic dinner. nothing. we went to a comedy club. nothing. we even walked right past the porch swing where we had our first kiss. nothing. i was so upset, i went straight to bed as soon as we got home. the next day, i was in an awful mood the entire day. then once we turned off the lights and crawled in the bed and cuddled up together to fall asleep, he finally asked me, "will you marry me?" to which i replied, "yes, asshole!" he told me that he knew i was expecting him to propose on our anniversary, but he wanted it to be a suprise, so he decided to wait until the day after.

We got engaged before he got a ring. He asked me and he was super sweet (as always). Nothing extravagent, I don't think he was planning on it. When he got the ring, we went to dinner with my dad. I had no idea anything was going on. He pulled the ring out and asked me to marry him. It was really sweet cause he said he wanted my dad to be there. My dad and I are close. Everything was just, perfect.
